Let’s Get Started!

We would like to acknowledge that getting started can be the hardest part. You know there’s something you want to do. There’s something you want to accomplish. But you’re not sure how or where to start. That’s what Coachization is here for: to show you how and give you structure and support. We’re here to help you set meaningful goals, learn a method for getting and staying organized and practice self-coaching — as you prioritize one area of your life that you want to work on at a time.

Because starting is the hardest part. Everything after that is worth the effort and investment in yourself. It’s the old: “You won’t know until you try”. So, try. Learn. Be flexible.

Our experience is that people are self-sufficient. They are capable. You are capable. And, it’s okay to ask for help, join a group, take a class, do research,  read a book, listen to a podcast, etc. You don’t have to have all the answers within you and go it alone. You don’t have to try to “figure it out” alone. You don’t have to continue to “get ready to get ready”. You were born ready. You just need some guidance, support, structure, and tools to help you hone in on what is most important to you - and getting into action around that will help you gain clarity.

In an earlier blog post we introduced Coachization’s Marathon Analogy. Let’s expand on that. Let’s say you’re injured. Maybe it’s your ankle, achilles, or foot. You rest it. You ice it. You stretch it. You roll it out. You try everything you can think of. You do research. You talk to other people who have had a similar injury. But until you go to physical therapy it does not resolve itself or resolve quickly. Once you go to PT and get the proper exercises the lightbulb will go off, you will do your exercises, and your issue resolves. And that’s when we all say, “I wish I had done that sooner!”.

Well, sooner is now!

Do you have goals, dreams, visions swirling around in your head, on floating pieces of paper, or stuck in journal entries? Maybe they’re recent. Maybe they’ve been there a year or a decade or more. That’s okay. What matters is not being in the same place, having the same goals, dreams and visions a year from now because you didn’t take action or stayed stuck or struggling.

There is a reason the same things keep coming up for you. You are meant to bring them into reality.

Who will benefit from you immersing yourself in your goals, dreams and visions?
